These illustrations are created with the help of artificial intelligence. We say so plainly and unprompted, because it belongs to the work. Diese Illustrationen entstehen mit Hilfe künstlicher Intelligenz. Wir sagen das offen und von uns aus, weil es zur Sache gehört.

The tool does not paint on its own. For every passage a brief is written that holds to fixed rules: the face of Christ is never shown, angels appear as light and not as winged people, God the Father is never depicted, and no person or object appears that the text does not name. Every single image is then judged by a human being and either kept or thrown away. About one in five is rejected and painted again. Das Werkzeug malt nicht allein. Zu jeder Stelle wird ein Bildauftrag geschrieben, der festen Regeln folgt: das Angesicht Christi wird nie gezeigt, Engel erscheinen als Licht und nicht als geflügelte Menschen, Gott der Vater wird nicht dargestellt, und es erscheint niemand und nichts, was der Text nicht nennt.
